Latvian language

Latvian (latviešu valoda) is the official state language of Latvia. The Latvian language is spoken by 1.5 million people. Latvian is one of two extant Baltic languages, a group of its own within the family of Indo-European languages. Both Latvian and  Lithuanian languages are considered to be the most archaic of still-spoken Indo-European languages.

Jurmala

Jurmala, the largest resort city in the Baltic States, is well known for its natural treasures - the mild climate, sea, healthy air, curative mud and mineral water. The attraction of Jurmala reflects in its almost 33 km long white sand beach, large pine forests, and the natural border of the city, the river Lielupe.

Sigulda

Sigulda and its surroundings is one of the most beautiful cities in Latvia where you can enjoy a rare combination of medieval castles, picturesque hilly landscapes (with a river running amidst sandy caves), a sculpture park and wide choice of leisure activities. Sigulda is attractive in all seasons. You should visit the Gauja National Park where several walking and cycling trails are made. Both banks of the Gauja primeval valley are connected by a cable car in Sigulda. Well-known European bobsled route is situated in Sigulda. Sigulda is a city for everybody!
